Park Ji-won on Sixteen
Sixteen is a survival show from JYP Entertainment where the girl trainees are competing for the new group’s positions (currently TWICE). Park Ji-won, who was still a trainee of JYP Entertainment at that time also participated and competed in the program. But unfortunately, she failed to debut with TWICE. During the airing of SIXTEEN, Park Ji-wonwas famous among fans for her charming chubby cheeks and cute personality. Even though she looks cute, her voice is very mature and her skill is no joke! Park Ji-won Departure From JYP
As mentioned before, Ji-won was a trainee of JYP Entertainment for 3 years before signing with her current agency,Stone Music Entertainment. She even participated in JYP’s survival showSIXTEEN and ended up eliminated. It was not easy for her. She confessed in an interview forIdol Schoolthat after the program finished, she felt frustrated and desperate because all her friends made it to debut, which is why she decided to leave the agency and try to debut under a different agency.
Park Ji-won on Idol School
Another survival show made by Mnet,Idol School, succeeded to debut a girl group consisting of 9 members under the nameFromis_9, that stands forFromIdolSchool. The members of this group are Lee Sae-rom, Song Ha-young, Jang Gyu-ri, Park Ji-won, Roh Ji-sun, Lee Seo-yeon, Lee Chae-young, Lee Na-gyung, and Baek Ji-heon. The program started airing on July 13th, 2017. The program gathered many girl trainees from various agencies that competed for the 9 positions in the group. Fortunately, Park Ji-won was one of the trainees that succeeded to get one position in the group.Idol School used aranking system that kept changing depending on the votes sent by the viewers and Ji-won’s final ranking was 6th.

Park Ji-won’s Debut as fromis_9
In the final episode ofIdol School, Park Ji-won was announcedas a member to debut with the group and her final rank was 6th. After her struggles in JYP andSIXTEEN, she promised herself to debut and finally, she made it withFromis_9. The program ended last year and the group officially made their debut on January 24th, 2018, with “To. Heart” as their debut song. Thankfully, the group will be permanent and they are now managed byOff the Record Entertainment.
